FAQ’s

Q: Are you insured?

Yes, I am fully insured through Professional Photographers of America and Locton Affinity, LLC. If your venue needs proof of insurance, just let me know and I would be happy to provide that for you.

Q: How long does it take before we receive our wedding or family portrait photos?

The turnaround time for receiving your online gallery with your final images for weddings is within 6 weeks. You will receive a handful of preview or “sneak peek” photos shared within 72 hours! For family portraits or engagement sessions, it’s within 2 to 3 weeks.

Q: How many photos will we receive?

For weddings there is no cap on delivered images! This means there isn’t an exact set amount of images you will receive. However many images are great from your wedding will be included in your gallery. Typically a 6 hour wedding will receive around 300 to 450 images.

Q: What service area do you cover?

I am a San Jose, Silicon Valley photographer first and foremost. However I travel all over the Bay Area including, but not limited to San Francisco, Oakland, Palo Alto, Redwood City, Los Gatos, Santa Cruz, Scotts Valley, Soquel, Capitola, Monterey, and Carmel. Please inquire for destination weddings.

Q: Are there any additional costs such as travel or taxes?

I do not charge extra travel fees for weddings within 2 hours of Santa Clara County. For weddings more than 2 hours from Santa Clara County, or for destination weddings, please reach out for a quote.

There are no additional fees for taxes (they are build into my package prices). Note that any parking fees will be an added cost. Permits are required for some locations in order to do a photography session, and permit fees would be an additional cost if they are needed. I am happy to help provide a list of places that I already have permits for, or locations that I know do not require permits, and I am happy to help obtain the permit for you (by request).

Q: Should I get a package with a 2nd photographer?

By having a 2nd photographer at your wedding, you really are getting the benefit of two different photographers with unique perspectives. Twice the experience, twice the creativity.... everything coming from the 2nd photographer is different than what you would get from the lead shooter.  There is a lot that goes on during the ceremony. This is the main event on your wedding day: you’ll have excited guests, emotional parents, the bride or groom anxiously awaiting to walk down the aisle. You’ll want to capture as many of those moments as possible.  It also gives you a different perspective. The lead photographer is usually up front getting photos of you walking towards them, and the 2nd is usually in the back getting photos as you walk down the aisle. Another reason to include a 2nd photographer is if you plan on having getting ready photos. One photographer can be with each set of bride and bridesmaids or groom and groomsmen.

Q: Do you only do family and wedding photography?

I specialize in family photography and wedding and engagement photography, meaning I primarily do those types of sessions and events. However I also offer maternity sessions, headshots, couples sessions, senior portraits and events (bridal showers, baby showers, family reunions, and more!). I do newborn photography as well, either in outdoor locations like my family sessions, or in-home sessions (at the client’s home).

Q: Do you have a studio?

I love the look of natural light in photographs, so I do not do studio photography, but rather utilize the outdoors. My sessions focus on a mix of candids, life-style photography (doing whatever you and your family would naturally do in an outdoor setting) and some posed shots as well.
